i would like to ask if someone knows any linux video converter or grabber... i would like to convert vcd to svcd,dvd,mpeg4.. please... thanks

try mandvd=this program have(avidemux,mencorder)inside.it is a tools for create dvd video.also you can convert any format file.
another option is jahshaka-(no jplayer or jahplayer)for hem you need java 1.5 or highter instaled

if you want simplity & GUi, why don't you try devede ? if you use Ubuntu, you might try apt-get install devede. more informations here » http://www.rastersof...mas/devede.html
