Spyshots: Volkswagen Touareg, Old vs. New
Volkswagen is currently working on the next generation Touareg and today's spyshots are here to confirm it. But more importantly, this new pack of spyshots actually allows us to make a comparison between the current and the upcoming Touareg which is likely to enter production in the second half of 2010. As you can see for yourselves in the photo gallery below the article, the new Touareg will share a more aerodynamic look, a bit sportier compared to the current model. The new chassis has been lengthened by a few centimeters, thus boasting a more spacious interior. As a result, a third row of seats is very likely to be offered as standard. The new Touareg will bring extensive modifications to the front fascia, with headlights, grille and the front bumper now hidden by camouflage. The rear side will be redesigned as well, so expect new taillights and upgraded rear bumper. Inside, the upcoming SUV will come with several upgraded parts but it's still unknown which are the areas the manufacturer plans to work on. Engine details are still in the rumor stage but all units will be surely optimized to return improved fuel efficiency and less emissions. A 3.6-liter V6 unit and a 4.2-liter V8 petrol configuration will be included in the range, with a hybrid version most likely to be offered as well. Early rumors are hinting that the Hybrid Touareg will be fitted with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 configuration, plus an electric motor that will be mounted between the transmission box and the engine. Last but not least, the new Touareg will be lighter by around 300 kilos. Prices are expected to be cut as well. http://www.autoevolu...7909.html#image Attached Files |

2011 Volkswagen Touareg To Launch in January at Detroit Auto Show
Quote The Car Connection is reporting that Volkswagen will debut a redesigned Touareg SUV at the Detroit auto show in January. The Touareg serves as the basis of both the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7 SUVs. All three are being redesigned at the same time, so we’d expect the other two to debut at subsequent auto shows. The redesign is sorely needed as the VW and Porsche specifically show their age against competition from BMW and Mercedes. The capable off-roader will debut with hybrid and diesel powertrains, as well. We just hope they get rid of the two-step folding rear seats. http://blogs.thecarc...troit-auto-show Attached Files |

Mda..schimbari vizibile in fata.

New Volkswagen Touareg Possibly Leaked via Scale Model
The new generation of the Volkswagen Touareg, expected to be launched this spring, is a anticipated vehicle, as the SUV offers a good overall balance. Now, we could be able to get a pretty good idea of how the car will look, thanks to a leaked photo showing a scale model of the car, posted by autoweek.nl. As you can see, the German SUV adopts the new VW family identity introduced by the Golf VI. The front grille and the headlights look very similar to those on the Golf or the Polo, while the lower part of the 2010 Touareg?s front fascia resembles that of the Tiguan - in the Sport&Stile version. The pictured car also features a panoramic glass roof and a roof spoiler. The roof of the car?s premium appearance is completed by a set of aluminum finish roof rails. The SUV?s rims have a characteristic design for the German manufacturer. But then again, this is just a leaked pic showing a miniature model... The next Touareg is expected to be lighter by 300 kg, in order to cut emissions and reduce fuel consumption. Of course, this would also improve the dynamics of the car. However, the interior space will probably not be affected, as the SUV is expected to have a longer wheelbase. A hybrid version of the car is also expected. To get a hint about this version?s powertrain, we can look at the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Hybrid, which will also be launched this year (The Cayenne shares its platform with the Touareg). The Cayenne Hybrid is expected to use the Audi S4?s supercharged V6 petrol engine, which develops 325 HP and a 50 HP electric motor. http://www.autoevolu...odel-15958.html new_volkswagen_touareg_potlly_leaked_via_scale_modelentia_15958_1.jpg 46.81K 86 downloads Edited by ady_chesnoiu, 27 January 2010 - 21:54. |

Sincer pentru un SUV, prefer ca acesta sa fie mai capabil in off road si nu mai sportiv.

Next-Gen VW Touareg to Debut on February 10 in Munich
Although everybody expected to see the next-generation Volkswagen Touareg, together with its hybrid version, at the Geneva Motor Show in March, it might seem like the German automaker is speeding things up a little. According to a recent company statement, Volkswagen will debut the two aforementioned models on February 10 at the Postpalast in Munich from 10.15 – 11.00 p.m. CET (21:15 – 22:00 UTC). As for the new Touareg, rumors are suggesting that the hybrid version will employ a parallel hybrid system and a supercharged V6 TSI unit that will together release up to 324 horsepower. When running in electric mode, the hybrid would reach a maximum speed of 31 mph (50 km/h), with no fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The regular Touareg is expected to present several exterior enhancements, regardless if we're talking about the front fascia, the grille, the headlights or the taillights. The engine lineup is expected to receive several improvements, most of them aimed at cutting CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. A 3.6-liter V6 unit and a 4.2-liter V8 petrol configuration will be probably available among other units. Volkswagen is reportedly planning to make the Touareg a bit sportier, with the most significant changes to be spotted on the front fascia, grille, headlights, rear fascia and taillights. Inside, the Touareg will be updated as well but it's still unclear which parts are actually going to be enhanced. http://www.autoevolu...nich-16480.html next_gen_vw_touareg_to_debut_on_february_10_in_munich_16480_1.jpeg 246.64K 27 downloads |

Ce garda la sol are "SantaFe-ul" asta si ce masa ? Unde e dieselul ? Ma distreaza urmatorul rand din articolul de pe Autoevolution: "with no fuel consumption and CO2 emissions". |
