"Samsung Electronics și Apple Inc au vândut cele mai multe smartphones în T2" link.

Au parut date si despre producatorul ZTE (China), se pare ca au vandut 17,7 milioane de telefoane mobile din care smartphone-uri 8 milioane.

Practic LG pica de pe locul 3 care il ocupa anul trecut pe locul 5 ca si cota de piata.

Clasament in fuctie de cota de piata/unitati vandute. Q2 2012 (actualizat).

1. Samsung 95.8 milioane de unitati vandute
2. Nokia 80.1 milioane de unitati vandute
3. Apple 26 milioane de unitati vandute
4. ZTE 17,7 milioane de unitati vandute
5. LG 13.1 milioane de unitati vandute
6. HTC 9.52 milioane de unitati vandute
7. Motorola 9. 32 milioane de unitati vandute.

"Android rules the smartphone world by a widening margin" link.

"On the world stage, Android is increasing its lead against the competition - it powered 68.1% of the 158.3 million smartphones shipped globally in Q2. It's interesting to point out that the smartphone shipments in Q2 of last year were almost exactly the same as the number of Android phones shipped this year.

Shipments of Apple smartphones increased 28% year on year, but market share fell by 2.5 percentage points. BlackBerry OS was a distant third with 5.4% of the market, while Symbian and Windows Phone had 4.1% and 3.2%, respectively. Bada isn't that far behind WP with 2.1%."

"Apple took 77% of the smartphone industry profits last quarter" link.

"The numbers are in and once again it has been a stunning quarter for Apple. The Cupertino based company managed to reap in nearly 77 percent of the operating profits from the smartphone industry in the second fiscal quarter.

These figures are amazing because Apple only contributed to 6 percent of the industry's smartphones and tablets that were shipped last quarter and it was also supposed to be a slow quarter for Apple due to the iPhone sales being lower than usual. In comparison, Samsung shipped nearly twice as many devices in the same quarter."
