The five-passenger sedan is 180 inches long, and slots between the subcompact Chevrolet Aveo and the mid-size Chevy Malibu in the lineup. GM says it will be wider and longer than most of its competitors. The Cruze will be powered by GM’s new family of direct-injection four-cylinder engines, likely ranging in displacement to 2.0 liters, and we expect some to be turbocharged. They should be good for about 40 mpg, or better. The European lineup of powertrains includes 112-hp, 1.6-liter and 140-hp, 1.8-liter gasoline engines as well as a new 150-hp, 2.0-liter turbo-diesel. Five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions will be offered. The rollout begins in Europe, where the Cruze will begin production early in 2009 for sale in the spring as a 2010 model. North America must wait until a 2010 start of production at the Lordstown, Ohio, plant that makes the Cobalt and G5. GM will spend $350 million to consolidate two body shops into one and retool the plant for the new models, part of the $500 million total investment to build the new car. Plant capacity will remain unchanged at about 330,000 units annually. The current Cobalt will continue to be offered, likely through June 2010, with the 2011 Cruze built alongside it until the Cobalt is phased out. The Cruze was engineered at GM’s Russelsheim, Germany, development center, and was designed in Korea by GM Daewoo. The car will be assembled in plants around the world, including the U.S., Mexico, various parts of Europe, South Korea, and Brazil. Sursa: Car and Driver. Mie imi place cum arata. Ca si linie a caroseriei parca aduce un pic cu noul Accord. Nu sunt aceleasi motoare. Cele pe benzina sunt vvt iar dieselul de 2.0 are turbina cu geometrie variabila. va fi facut pe aceeasi platforma (delta 2) cu viitoarele modele
opel(zafira si astra) si saab(un model nou. posibil sa se cheme 9-1) se pare ca astia nu au invatat nimic din (semi)esecul captiva/antara cand in loc sa lanseze opelul intai, au lansat chevyul. ar fi o mare prostie sa laseze si acum chevroletul inaintea opelului si saabului. La fel ca la Aveo hatchback, sigla din fata se potriveste ca nuca'n perete. Cred ca ar fi aratat mai bine daca montau sigla pe grila radiatorului.

In poze arata bestial. Sa speram ca vine la un pret atractiv incat sa mai renunte romanul la SH german si sa mai cumpere si masini noi.

pai va fi aproape masina nemteasca daca va avea aceeasi platforma cu Opel si saab (observ ca motoarele pe benzina au puteri similare cu actualele motoare opel de 1.6 si 1.8) si va fi facut in europa (prin polonia probabil cand vor opri productia astra classic).
tinand cont de platforma pe care e facuta masina, nu ar trebui sa ia sub 4 stele euroncap. poate chiar 5 stele. cred ca va repeta figura pe care a facut-o ceed daca va fi la un pret bun. cu Insignia si chevroletul asta e clar ca GM vrea sa-si repozitioneze marcile in europa, facand cam ce a facut VW cand a bagat skoda. noile modele de opel vor fi mai inalt calitative iar locul lasat va fi ocupat de chevy. cel putin asa vad eu lucrurile. cu saabul nu stiu ce va face. La Chevrolet Cruze te referi cand zici "chestia aia"? Ai perfecta dreptate. Pentru tine e "chestie" ca masina nu. Oricum n-ai sti sa o folosesti la cum arata interiorul. Daca nu are butoanele printre scaune, degeaba. |

da la cruze mare refer. Cel putin la exterior e un mare fas, prefer actualul laceti. Btw cruze-ul asta nou,are suspensie independenta pe spate?
