Eu ma refeream doar la UCL. Evident ca este greu de crezut ca vor transmite toate meciurile unei seri din UEL asa cum reiese din acel comunicat. Acum ca or fi 2, or fi 4 sau or fi 6 canale eu cred ca nu vor fi introduse de Digi si Telekom. Si consider ca in aceste conditii, chiar si transmiterea unui singur meci (fie din UCL, UEL, La Liga, Serie A, SuperLig) pe unul din aceste canale, in exclusivitate in reteaua UPC, ar fi o mare palma data celor de la Digi si Telekom!

Dacă introduc 2, probabil vor da cam aceleași meciuri ca și DIGI/T. Deja de la 4 în sus îmi vine să râd. ) Și, oricum, un meci gen opțiunea 6-7 în exclusivitate nu reprezintă vreo palmă.

Ba eu zic ca reprezinta. Patru meciuri pe etapa din UCL exclusiv la UPC nu ti se pare o palma? Meciuri din UEL exclusiv la UPC nu ti se pare? Celta - Atletico (netransmis etapa trecuta in Romania) exclusiv la UPC nu ti se pare? Meciuri din Turcia exclusiv la UPC nu ti se pare?

Care 4 meciuri exclusive din UCL la UPC? Look dacă ar ajunge la 6 canale, atunci ar avea 2 meciuri exclusive. DIGI și T vor transmite oricum 4 meciuri.

Dar stai să vedem că cer licențele înainte. Suntem în 10, iar pe 18 începe UCL.

Am zis pe etapa! 4 meciuri pe etapa! 2 marti si cu 2 miercuri, nu ies 4?

Pardon, obosit. Oricum, Look nu lansează 4 canale dintr-un foc.

Daca ar mai lansa Look inca 100 de canale si ar mai da si din alte sporturi, cred ca toti abonatii de la RCS-RDS si Telekom s-ar muta la UPC. Palma ar fi daca ar da in exclusivitate o competitie de fotbal puternica si s-ar vedea doar la UPC (Look Sport). Asa pentru un meci, 2 sau 3, nu este vreo palma.

The Premier League launches tender process in 50 markets

Last week, the English Premier League sent out three invitation to tenders (ITTs) covering a total of 50 countries in: the Caribbean; Central and South America; and German-speaking countries in Europe. The ITT in German-speaking territories was sent on September 7, and covers Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Bids are due on October 1, and will cover rights for three-seasons, from 2019-20 to 2021-22. Rights are currently held by Perform-owned OTT platform DAZN, in a three-season deal, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.

Two further ITT’s, for rights in the same 2019-22 cycle, were sent to interested parties in Central and South America and the Caribbean, with bids due in the second week of October. In Central and South America bids can be for either territory or for both individually. Rights are currently held by pay-television broadcasters DirecTV Latin America and Sky Mexico. DirecTV exploit the rights in South America, and Sky in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
Premier League rights in the Caribbean are currently held by telco Cable & Wireless Communications, after securing rights in a competitive tender process that saw the value of Premier League rights increase by about 860 per cent.

Agencies swoop after LaLiga take rights back from MP & Silva

The Mediapro agency has sealed several last-minute deals with IMG and Saran Media across Eastern Europe for rights to Spain’s LaLiga, after cancelling its deal with MP & Silva.

DAZN acquires NFL rights in Italy

Streaming platform DAZN has acquired exclusive English- and Italian-language rights to the NFL in Italy, replacing pay-television broadcasters Fox and Mediaset.
It is thought DAZN acquired the rights directly from the NFL, as MP & Silva's five-year deal for NFL rights across Europe, from 2015 to 2019, was cancelled due to the agency's collapse.

English-language and Italian-language rights were previous split across multiple broadcasters, with Fox holding English-language rights and Mediaset broadcasting in Italian. Each broadcaster held rights to two games per week.

DAZN will hold rights to four games per week from 2018, as well as all of the NFL playoffs, exhibition games such as the Pro-Bowl, and the season-ending Super Bowl.
DAZN now holds rights to three of the four major American leagues – the NFL, the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball. Pay-television operator Sky holds rights to the NBA.

ESPN acquires Coppa Italia and Supercoppa rights in the US

Pay-television broadcaster ESPN has enhanced its coverage of Italian football in the US by acquiring rights to the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana. The Calcio e finanza website reported that Lega Serie A has sold rights in the country directly to ESPN. The duration of the deal has not been announced but is likely to be for three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21.

ESPN recently acquired Italian Serie A rights, in the same three-season cycle, from the IMG agency as part of a package deal that included the English FA Cup, Dutch Eredivisie and Chinese Super League. Last week, Burke Magnus, executive vice-president of programming at ESPN, told TV Sports Markets: “We put a bullseye on soccer as a sport. It was something that we could get a critical mass of content for ESPN+, and the design here is to make the service indispensable to soccer fans in the US.”

Channel 4 to show F1 in 2019 after partnering with Sky

Another content partnership in the UK will allow commercial broadcaster Channel 4 to show live coverage of the Formula One British Grand Prix in 2019, along with highlights from all races that season. Pay-television broadcaster Sky and Channel 4 currently both show Formula One, with Channel 4 broadcasting half of the races every year and Sky broadcasting all races: non-exclusive rights to the same races as Channel 4, and exclusive rights to the remaining races.

However from 2019, Sky will become the exclusive rights-holder of Formula One in the UK and Ireland after signing a six-year deal until 2024.
This isn’t the first partnership Sky has signed and is unlikely to be the last, with chief executive officer of Sky UK & ROI Stephen van Rooyen stating: “Today’s partnership is the start of a new era of collaboration between Sky, Channel 4 and, we hope, other British broadcasters.” In December last year, Sky and rival pay-television broadcaster BT Sport agreed a multi-year deal that made channels available on each other’s platforms. Earlier this year, BT agreed a carriage partnership with Amazon.

    Singtel broaden its football coverage in Singapore

In a deal with the IMG agency, telco Singtel has acquired rights in Singapore to the English FA Cup, Dutch Eredivisie, and Chinese Super League. The duration of Singtel’s deal is unknown. IMG hold rights to the FA Cup – internationally, excluding Western Europe and the Middle East and North Africa – in a six-season deal, from 2018-19 to 2023-24. It holds international Eredivisie rights until 2021-22 and international CSL rights until the end of 2020.

SingTel will broadcast the rights on its mio Sports channel and will stream the rights via Singtel CAST. The FA Cup will compliment Singtel’s coverage of the Premier League, which it holds rights to in the current cycle, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
