Canal Plus secures UEFA Champions League rights in Poland
The broadcaster will air UEFA's elite club competition to a Polish audience across the 2024-27 cycle.

The Polish arm of multinational pay-TV broadcaster Canal Plus has announced that it has secured the exclusive rights to Europe’s iconic UEFA Champions League continental club soccer competition for the next cycle.
Through the multi-year deal, which will last from the beginning of the 2024-25 season through the end of the 2026-27 campaign, Canal Plus Polska will exclusively broadcast every match from each of the three Champions League seasons, as well as its youth category equivalent UEFA Youth League, and its annual pre-season UEFA Super Cup exhibition match.
Games will be broadcast to Canal’s three million-plus subscribers in Poland, on linear TV via Canal Plus, as well as on its in-house OTT streaming service in the country.
The tender for these rights had been launched in Poland on January 30, with a bid deadline of February 27.
Edyta Sadowska, president and general director of CANAL+ Polska, stated: “[Canal Plus has] been providing our viewers in Poland with access to the best sports events and unforgettable emotions. The [return of] UEFA Champions League is the best confirmation of this.”

The 2024-25 edition of the UEFA Champions League will be the first to feature the competition’s new format and coefficient system.

UEFA opens 2024-27 club competitions tender in Ukraine

European soccer’s governing body UEFA has begun the tender process for media rights to its top-tier club competitions during the 2024-27 cycle in Ukraine.
In total, the governing body has kicked off tenders covering rights to the top-tier UEFA Champions League (UCL), second-tier Europa League, and third-tier Europa Conference League, between 2024-25 and 2026-27.
The sales are being handled by Team Marketing, UEFA’s partner agency for media and commercial rights sales across its club competitions. All inquiries should be directed to [email protected], with a deadline for submissions of April 22.
Currently, UEFA club competition action in Ukraine is covered during the 2021-24 cycle by Megogo, the streaming service.
Ukraine's sole UCL representative in the 2023-24 UCL group stage was Shakhtar Donetsk.

Earlier this month, UEFA kicked off the same tender process for club competition media rights in Israel, with an April 9 deadline.

The Professional Football League (LFP) has confirmed McDonald’s as the new title sponsor of French soccer’s top-flight Ligue 1.

Context:
It was reported earlier this month that McDonald’s had made an offer to become the new title sponsor of Ligue 1. The fast food giant will succeed Uber Eats from the 2024/25 season. The food delivery platform has been the league’s title sponsor since 2020/21, with it’s current deal said to be worth about €17 million (US$18.4 million) annually.
The value of the McDonald’s contract has not been disclosed but it was initially reported that it would be worth €60 million (US$64.9 million) over three years. According to L’Équipe, the tie-up is worth €90 million (US$97.4 million) in total.

“This new agreement also marks the end of a magnificent collaboration with Uber Eats as title sponsor of Ligue 1. I would like to particularly thank the management of Uber Eats France for their trust and support.”

In Polonia se duce o lupta crancena in trei pe piata drepturilor TV pentru evenimente sportive: Eleven Sports (DAZN) , Polsat, Canal+ la care  se mai adauga Viaplay care are F1 si Bundesliga care se pare ca vor trece la Canal+ pentru ca prealua Viaplay cu totul, deja cu 31% din Viaplay.

Ca fan al Championship, mi-as fi dorit foarte mult sa il vad transmis de un post TV si nu pe platforma. Era perfect pentru un post ca TVR Sport. Inteleg si ideea de business al celor de la Antena Play, dar e pacat, daca tot ai luat drepturi, sa le zic secundare, sa le pui pe o platforma. Nu au reusit altii, cu drepturi mai premium, folosind o platforma, de ce cred ca reusesc ei cu Antena Play, ma depaseste. Ar fi fost ceva, daca tot au achizitionat drepturi, sa scoata si un Antena Sport, ca post TV.

Are deelay 50 de secunde fata de transmisia de pe satelit pe care o urmaresc, am incercat de proba, pana si la streamurile IPTV pirat deelay-ul este intre 15 si 40 de secunde, calitatea imaginii este SD, deci totul facut de mantuiala. Singurul plus este au lasat comentariul original in engleza biritanica.

EFL scoate la licitatie prin Pitch International, drepturile TV pentru perioada 2024-2028.

Ce cuprinde:

TV2 în norvegiană reînnoirea drepturilor media UCL
TV2 deține în prezent drepturi de fotbal UEFA Champions League în Norvegia în timpul ciclului în curs 2021-24.

Televiziunea comercială norvegiană TV2 a anunțat reînnoirea drepturilor sale de a acoperi acțiunile paneuropene de fotbal masculin din UEFA Champions League (UCL) pentru următoarele trei sezoane.
Într-o declarație, directorul general al TV2 Group, Olav Sandnes, a confirmat că rețeaua a încheiat o prelungire a acordului său existent cu organismul de conducere al fotbalului european UEFA (care acoperă ciclul 2021-24).
Noua înțelegere pentru lucrativul și emblematic UCL se va desfășura de la începutul campaniei 2024-25 până în 2026-27.
Sandnes a spus: „Ne-am asigurat aceste drepturi în ciuda concurenței puternice din partea altor jucători. Nu putem comenta cât costă asta, în afară de faptul că astfel de drepturi nu sunt vândute ieftin.”
Procesul de licitație pentru drepturile media UCL în Norvegia (și pe celelalte piețe nordice din Danemarca, Finlanda, Islanda și Suedia) a fost o afacere lungă. A intrat în funcțiune pe 25 octombrie, cu termenul limită de depunere a ofertelor de 28 noiembrie.

Aceasta înseamnă că au trecut peste patru luni de când ar fi fost depuse oferte, înainte ca UEFA și agenția sa parteneră Team Marketing pentru UCL să ia o decizie.

Unde gasesc si eu cine a luat drepturile UCL pentru Albania ? Ca ofertele au fost depuse in ianuarie. Multumesc

Disney+ a cumparat drepturile Europa League si Conference League pentru Danemarca si Suedia. Interesant intrare piata de live sport a celor de la Disney care detin si ESPN la nivel global.
