Chirurgia endoscopică a hipofizei

Hi all,
I am having problem with iptables start, I am using 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl(result of uname -r) kernel but when trying to start iptables it is giving error : Applying iptables firewall rules: modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2197.nptl/modules.dep i have looked iinto the /lib/modules/ diretory I am having 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl derectory there but there is no 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl directory. I have tried to install rpm for 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl , but it throws 2.4.22-1.2199.nptlalready installed I have also tried to install rpm for 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl, it shows 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl is installed which is newer version then 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl I have also made a link to 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl with 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl under modules directory, then it throws : ip_tables.o is compiled for 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl while your kernel version is 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl Anyone can suggest me how I can syncronize my work so that can run iptables on my system, and what is the situation is? Many thanks in advance Regards Ganesh |

Reinstall 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl and make sure you have afterwards the right modules in /lib/modules, then run lilo (if you got it and use it) or make an entry in grub.conf for the new kernel. If rpm says kernel is already installed force the instalation (use --force flag; more details: man rpm) Edited by cianura, 30 March 2005 - 20:41. |
