ESXi pe HP Proliant Microserver Gen8

Aveti vana sa va puneti productia pe dsm6. Eu inca nu ma incumet caci merg prea bine lucrurile acum pe dsm 5 desi si eu am de test dsm 6

Eu nu folosesc dsm însă am esxi in care am mai multe servicii virtualizare. Eu folosesc oddul pentru boot iar ca si controller storage am un P222 cu 512 cache.

Mai modifici cpu-ram dupa cum te lasa inima; eu nu am modificat nimic (vid-pid-sn-mac) la el si merge si acum fara greturi.

sa-mi spui te rog daca ai avut probleme cu acea imagine sau a mers; atentie sa ai esxi web-ui versiunea 1.13 cel putin, altfel apar probleme la adaugare hdd (rdm).

A mers. Probabil mergea si Jun Loaderv1.01, insa ori n-am asteptat suficient, ori trebuia sa pun pe Promiscuous mode la network (si la asta am pus pe asta).

Eu nu am făcut așa ceva, probabil nu e cazul la mine. Nici nu auzisem de asta până acum

Intr-o masina separata cu DSM 6 am testat MailPlus sever. Dupa multe teste si incercari si porturi deschis l-am facut sa mearga. E super. Ceea ce m- dezamagit cel mai mult sunt 2 lucruri: licenta pentru doar 5 utilizatori si ip-urile rds sunt listate in lista RBL si mai da rateuri la trimiterea de emailuri catre anumite domenii care fac astfel de filtrare.
Si inca odata DSM 6 cu loader Jun parca e nefinisat. Unele chestii dau chix. Ďe aia productia o am inca pe DSM 5

Ce nu-ti merge la 6? Eu am in productie vreo 4-5 bucati, chiar si cu loaderul 1 (fara 1.0.1) si totul e Ok. iSCSI, SSD cache, etc..

Care e cel mai nou driver hpvsa care e ok? Merge driverul din 6.5 la 6 ? Mersi.

Nu stiu dar nu cred ca merge. Dacă ai 6.5 nu merge downgrade la acel driver ca pe 6.0. Eu nu am sesizat probleme cu ce are 6.5 default.
La 6.0 se poate face downgrade la .88, revin cu numele exact in 5 min.

Aproape zilnic adaug manual ip-uri in lista de block; blocheaza automat destul de rar desi e setat in cp sa blocheze dupa 3 esuari intr-o ora. Daca nu gasesc o solutie cred ca renunt, oricum nu prea il folosesc.

- Uninstalled the hpvsa 5.5.0-102
- Installed the hpvsa 5.5.0-88
- Rebooted
- All storage volumes were down because ESXi was using the AHCI Driver vmw_ahci
- I disabled the AHCI driver to force ESXi using the downgradedhpvsa drviver --> command from "http://www.nxhut.com...vmwahci.html"-- " esxcli system module set --enabled=false --module=vmw_ahci".
- Reboot and voilà ! ESXi is using the hpvsa 5.5.0 - 88 which is much better"

Personal nu sesizez nimic aiurea, nu simt nevoia sa schimb ceva.

Acum sunt undeva unde netu este jalnic si nu am nici timp. Am sa incerc sa pun configurarea mea. La mine e foarte restrictiv si merge bine. Dezactiveaza mail pt admin si root

Câtă vreme e port deschis nu cred că contează ce user e activ pe mail; ei încearcă oricum diferite conturi, nu numai root sau admin. Am găsit cu guest, office, user, manager, helpdesk etc

Corect. Dar daca activezi tot ce se poate pe parte de securitate in configurare o sa ai mult mai putine. Din aduceri aminte stiu ca am activat de exemplu sa nu accepte comenzi Helo decat de la domenii valide nu de la orice ip. Poate vorbesc prostii acum dar mai sunt multe pe acolo
Imi pare rau ca nu pot face acum capturi caci sunt plecat, dar cu prima ocazie.....

Multumesc; deocamdata am bifat si eu alea la advanced, nu intrasem niciodata acolo. Si la mine blocheaza singur 2-3 ip-uri pe zi dar prea putine fata de ce apare in log.
