Am primit un mail prin care mi se zicea că Skype se retrage de pe Symbian.

 Skype apps for Symbian are permanently retiringWe've noticed that you are, or previously were, signed into Skype on a Symbian phone, and we're sorry to inform you that we are now permanently retiring all Skype apps for Symbian phones. As a result, within the next few weeks, you'll no longer be able to sign in and use Skype on any Symbian phone.

You can still stay in touch with friends and family using Skype on an Android device, Nokia Lumia phone or desktop computer. You can sign into them all using the same Skype account. The latest versions of Skype for all your devices are available at http://www.skype.com/download

Mi se pare normal, platforma e "moarta".

Telefoanele cu Symbian sunt deja foarte vechi. Cum Skype se tot dezvolta, nu vrea vad cum 128 mega de RAM ar mai putea face fata. Cred ca pentru mesaje, vor mai exista variante ocolitoare.

128MB de RAM sunt arhi-suficienti daca Skype n-ar fi programat cu picioarele...

Cred ca e fara nici o relevanta, doar si-au mai adus aminte si au zis sa dea un ~~spam~~ anunt oficial.
Astept sa anunte si terminarea suportului pentru Windows Mobile 2003.

Ma mir cum de l-au mai tinut in viata atata timp.. Din moment ce au retras skype si pe windows phone 7 (asta a fost masura de "carti" , tocmai ce-l lansasera pe lumia 610) era de asteptat ca si Symbian sa fie abandonat in curand.

Nu vad asa mare minune, nu cred ca au avut update-uri de ani de zile si daca au avut au fost absolut minore. Ce s-a intimplat probabil acum e ca fac schimbari majore in protocol si n-o sa mai mearga deloc.
