The small new sunspot that formed briefly high in latitude in the northern hemisphere has already disappeard. It was not much of a sunspot and will probably not even count. Pictures are below.
The STEREO Behind images continue to show a possible region approaching the eastern limb. tendinta de crestere iar a indicelui K la 1 acum K este 0 22 Mar 2009 15:16:05 GMT # Flux solar = 70 # A = 7 LINISTIT # K = 0 |

The small sunspot that briefly formed Saturday evening and quickly vanished was not big enough and did not last long enough to fetch an official number. The sun is blank of spots and the solar flux is at 69.

Edited by Energy, 23 March 2009 - 13:43. |

It looks like that small sunspot that briefly formed high in latitude is trying to make a comeback. Solar activity will remain at low levels however.
The STEREO Behind images continue to show a possible region approaching the eastern limb. vedeti ca am lansat limb 2 cu pozitie si mai spre est Attached Files |

The sun remains blank as the minor plage area in the northern hemisphere has not shown any growth. Solar activity will continue on at very low levels.

The STEREO Behind images continue to show a possible region approaching the eastern limb. I just hope it survives long enough until it can make it into direct view. Maybe this was the source of a few CME's last week 24 Mar 2009 13:08:01 GMT # Flux solar = 68 # A = 2 LINISTIT # K = 3 Speed: 368 km/s Density: 9.12 p/cm3 |
