Cel mai bine e sa ai componente linux compliant. Asa cum nu e indicat sa instalezi un XP pe un sistem cu 64 ddr , desi se poate asa nu are rost sa iti iei placa ati de ex. Am placa ati si numai tampenii face, nu se compara cu nvidia. Nu sunt gamer, dar urm chestie achizitionata va fi o placa nvidia. De Atheros am auzit ca ar avea probleme, ceva wireless, au Fujitsu Siemens parca... am avut probleme cu el si in Win... dar pe Linux?
Toata vina e aici a marilor companii care nu dau informatiile necesare pt creearea de drivere si pe alte SO decat Win. F*** them!

daca merge world of warcraft si recunoaste placa video  [9600XT ati]  devin si yo fan    am omorat mandriva si Ubuntu si tot nu reusesc sa pornesc world of warcraft. Cel mai departe am ajuns pe ubuntu, imi intra in joc... dar cand misc mouseul la fiecare frame se inchide imaginea...

Zenwalk Live 5.2, the latest Zenwalk in its Live CD format is ready!

Based on Zenwalk Current and a slightly modified version 6.2.3 of the Linux Live Scripts, Zenwalk Live is meant to be an almost perfect clone of Zenwalk standard, although it now uses a slightly modified kernel in order to unlock specific Live CD features such as, for example, the re-mastering of Zenwalk Live on a USB key with persistent changes.

As always, Zenwalk live features several specific Live CD gui tools which you will find in Zenpanel (Zenwalk's system configuration panel)... Zen Installer will enable you to install Zenwalk standard on your machine while Live Clone, a WYSIWYG Live CD re-mastering utility, will enable you to generate your very own customized Live CD that will carry any of the changes you may have applied to your Live CD session, whether these changes were simply cosmetic, like a change of wall paper or panel widgets or whether they were more involved like the suppression or addition of different programs, users, etc..

Essential recovery & system tools such as LiloFix, Gparted & Testdisk have not been forgotten & are also available... just in case!

Evidently, Zenwalk Live 5.2 includes all the latest improvements from Zenwalk 5.2 recent release: the suspend and resume refined functions, the new support for blue-tooth input device, the refreshed artwork for the booting menu, boot splash & Xfce environment, as well as the nearly 500 changes to software packages, including Linux kernel 2.6.25.4, Xfce Desktop 4.4.2, Netpkg "new generation" version 4, Xorg version 7.3, Mplayer coupled with the latest dvdnav (DVD menus support), etc..

Folks, Zenwalk Core has been released : it means the essential from Zenwalk is now available for download !

Slim as usual (a 200 MB iso for less than 700 MB installed system) but fully loaded : latest Zenwalk kernel, all the dev tools from your favourite distro and a lot of space left for your pleasure/imagination to build the system of your dreams ... let it be a simple workstation or a powerful server, a dedicated build platform or a virtual system host machine, ...

This time Zenwalk Core makes a step towards Server configs, with a new tool called 'taz'.
This small and extensible tool should look familiar to the ones who have been using Zenserver before, as it was in fact inspired by "ZSAdmin" (thx to Sega01 for the original idea ).
Being in Zenwalk Core what ZenPanel is in standard version, it concentrates all the cli admin tools in a single menu.
Moreover, new tools can be added to it by simply dropping a desc file in its config directory ...
An 'apacheconfig' module is on its way as the first sample application. Thanks to our great packagers & devs, config tools for most cli based software could be released and added soon.
