Salut. Am si eu o intrebare. Stie cineva clubul , si campioana Europei de anul acesta, Chelsea, sunt supranumiti "pisicile"? Eu asa stiam mai demult, insa am cautat pe site-ul lor si nu am gasit denumirea asta. Insa eu asa tin minte, de la comentatorii de fotbal de la noi mai demult, ca asa le ziceau, ceva cu "pisicile..."
Porecla cred ca venind de la sigla, care are un leu sau tigru pe el, nu stiu exact. |

That's because there is another club in London who also play in blue and their nickname is actually 'The Lions'......Millwall FC. They also have a lion in their badge. Chelsea's original nickname was 'The Pensioners' , from the retired ex-military servicemen (and women) who reside at The Royal Hospital in Chelsea. But from about the 1960's the club has been more commonly known simply as 'The Blues', partly because in 1964 they changed their kit to all blue with white socks. Around the same time Liverpool changed to an all red kit. This was quite novel because teams virtually always had different coloured shirts and shorts (shorts nearly always white) up till then.”

Ai facut o confuzie. Le spuneau comentatorii intradevar, dar nu celor de la Chelsea, ci celor de la Sunderland a caror porecla e "The Black Cats". In ultima vreme, cei de la Chelsea isi spun singuri "the pride of London".

Poreclele clubului Chelsea sunt cele postate de colegul waterman: "The Pensioners" si "The Blues". Fanilor echipei li se spune "rent boys" sau "plastic fans".
Iar legatura lui Chelsea cu pisicile poate vine de la faptul ca au incercat sa forteze ei porecla de "The Blue Lions", insa nu a prins, nu le spune nimeni asa si nu sunt recunoscuti ca ar fi "Lei". Q. How many Chelsea managers does it take to change a light bulb? A. Nobody knows. The light bulb lasts longer than any manager. |
