• Phone Importance: One-third (33 percent) of respondents prioritize their smartphone over engaging with people they care about and want to spend time with them.
  
• Generational Factors: Issues with smartphones are more intense among younger generations, with over half (53 percent) of Gen Z respondents describing their phone as a best friend.
  
• Help Wanted: People want help with phone-life balance. In fact, 61 percent of participants agree that they want to get the most out of their phone when they are on it, and the most out of life when they are not.
  
• Separation Desired: The majority of participants (60 percent) say it’s important to have a life separate from their phones.

• Compulsive Checking: Half (49 percent) agree that they check their phone more often than they would like (nearly 6 in 10 in both Gen Z and Millennial generations) and agree they feel compelled to constantly check their smartphone (44 percent).
  
• Excessive Phone Time: A third (35 percent) agree that they are spending too much time using their smartphone (44 percent of Gen Z) and believe they would be happier if they spent less time on their phone (34 percent).
  
• Emotional Overdependence: Two-thirds (65 percent) admit they “panic” when they think they have lost their smartphone (about 3 in 4 Gen Z and Millennials) and three in ten (29 percent) agree that when they are not using their phone they are “thinking about using it or planning the next time I can use it.”

Motorola mobility exista in continuare! Doar smartphone-uri cu brand-ul Lenovo nu vor mai exista.

In momentul asta, din pacate (?) directia pe care ar fi trebuit sa mearga chinezii de la Motorola a fost preluata puternic de chinezii de la Nokia.
Pacat ca pentru ei a fost mai important sa-si bata capul cum sa scrie Lenovo pe telefoanele Motorola, decat sa identifice si sa urmeze calea care a dus la faptul ca telefoanele Motorola au fost apreciate de utilizatori documentati si care stiau ce vor. Probabil ca ceilalti fiind mai multi o fi o piata de desfacere mai mare.

"Chinezii" de la Motorola și Nokia sunt de fapt americani și finlandezi.  Actualele smartphone-uri Motorola și Nokia sunt doar produse în China, proiectarea lor se face în Chicago USA, cazul Motorola, și în Finlanda, cazul Nokia by HDM Global. Spre deosebire de HMD Global, care se mulțumește deocamdată doar sa cloneze  (resusciteze) vechi modele celebre de Nokia, gen Nokia 3310, cei de la Motorola Mobility chiar reușesc sa scoată smartphone-uri originale și oarecum revoluționare. Vezi seria Z de smartphone-uri modulare de la Motorola. PS Lenovo a luat decizia de a nu mai produce smartphone-uri sub brandul Lenovo, ci doar sub brandul Motorola. Ești în eroare!

Nokia 6 (varianta 2018), Nokia 7 plus, Nokia 8 sirocco ce resuscitari ale vechilor modele celebre sunt? Ca si raport performante hardware/costuri se poate gasi  cate ceva pe aproape si la Moto dar cate modele Moto Android One se vor putea cumpara in Romania in viitorul apropiat? Seria Z intr-adevar ofera aceea modularitate hardware cu unele module utile altele mai putin utile, dar odata iintrat in acea modularitate de nisa ramai prizonier acolo Mangementul Moto e la Lenovo, la chinezi, o parte din vechea echipa responsabila cu inovatiile Moto cand inca nu erau la chinezi, este acum la Google Pixel.  As fi vrut sa raman pe Moto, dar ....

Lenovo doar este proprietarul Motorola Mobility, managementul este asigurat în continuare de americani. Președinte Motorola Mobility este  Aymar de Lencquesaing, care numai chinez nu este. Motorola are un nume și o tradiție în domeniul producției de telefoane mobile. Din aceasta cauza, chinezii de la Lenovo au decis sa nu mai producă telefoane mobile sub brandul Lenovo, ci doar sub brandul Motorola. Chiar și după cumpărarea Motorola Mobility de către Lenovo, proiectarea și dezvoltarea telefoanelor Motorola se face tot la sediul din Chicago, SUA. Dacă te uiți la smartphone-urile lansate de Motorola și după ce a fost achiziționată de Lenovo, păstrează același design original, ușor de recunoscut. Spre deosebire, majoritatea telefoanelor lansate de HMD Global sub brandul Nokia sunt doar niște copii, d.p.v. al numelui și designului, sl vechilor telefoane Nokia. Cel mai bun exemplu este ultimul Nokia 8810 4G. PS Tu ești încă rămas pe "Moto by Lenovo", in timp ce majoritatea sunt cu Motorola. )

Din cate am inteles eu, Motorola Mobility se ocupa de modele din seria Z. Software si proiectare...
Pe aparatele din seria Z si scrie "Motorola Mobility", iar orice program de diagnosticare/ hw info iti identifica tefefonul ca Motorola Mobility (Manufacturer). Pot confirma asta, scrie si pe al meu. Are o eticheta transparenta lipita deasupra pinilor modulari.

Modelele din seria G nu stiu sigur daca sunt identificate si facute total de Motorola. Din cate am inteles sunt un fel de colaborare intre Motorola Mobility si Lenovo.
Iar restul seriilor : C, E, X sunt facute cap coada de Lenovo, normal cu micile tweak-uri software de Motorola si probabil cu colaborare la nivel de proiectare.

Nu știu exact dacă seria entry level C de smartphone-uri de la Motorola,
nu este dezvoltata de Lenovo in China. Motorola C este un smartphone ieftin, pentru piața asiatica.  Celelalte serii de smartphone-uri de la Motorolo: E, G, X și Z sint dezvoltate de inginerii din Chicago.

Daca Motorola își permite sa concedieze 190 de ingineri, care lucrează la sediul din Chicago, asta înseamnă că are ceva angajați pe acolo. E puțin probabil ca cca. 500 de ingineri sa se ocupe, doar de dozvoltarea unei singure serii de smartphone-uri Motorola.
