Salutare,

daca tot vrei linux phone ai PIPHONE, TYTELLI

Nu tin in mod expres sa-l achizitonez.

Ubuntu are in spate o companie, ii spune Canonical.

Salutare,

"The Ubuntu Phone is dead

The first "real" Ubuntu phone came out a year ago, and all the updates I received inbetween have not fixed any real day-to-day issues. Everything is still slow as hell, most basic features do not exist (Bluetooth) or don't work reliably (GPS and mobile data and WiFi and Bluetooth) , while at the same time Canonical always shouts "COmmunity! Community!". This is not how it works, I bought a 200 € Aquarius E5. I read on G+ that the same hardware with Android or Windows costs less than half. So I paid bq and Canonical a 100 € surcharge for an Operating system that can't do anything. It doesn't have any of the services people want, it doesn't run Android apps, it doesn't run Linux apps (which was promised and which most people expected!), the app store is empty and dead. Hell I can't even use my own ringtones which I could back in 1999 on Nokia. Why do they get away with this? If I was bq I would tell Canonical to only show up at my doorstep again when Ubuntu is at least as good and reliable as a Nokia 6310.
A year ago everybody was buzzed and saying "everything will work soon", but now it's 2016 and nothing has changed and in reality my 200 $ Ubuntu phone is worth less than a 20 $ phone from five years ago. I think about 30k or so people bought Ubuntu phones, and Canonical always said "for developers only", but where are these 30k developers? The apps in the store are all bad webapps with some few real apps inbetween, and it looks like every app is discontinued. http://feeds.feedbur...orerUpdatedApps
shows nobody is uploading and updating useful apps anymore. There is not a single app by an important software company in the store, they have no partners. No WhatsApp, no DropBox, no Instagram, no Twitter. You can't even use Open SOurce stuff like SeaFile, and the phone does not connect to the desktop in any way.
I have no idea what Canonical is doing. People want their normal Ubuntu stuff like Firefox and Thunderbird and VLC and ownCloud and everything (says https://uappexplorer.com/wishlist
), but Canonical doesn't listen and not a single normal Linux app runs on the phone. It is unusable as a phone and they obviously don't even believe in the phone any longer because they turned the super new connvergent bq Ubuntu Edge phone that was supposed to ship months ago into a tablet without telling anybody. I don't care about connvergence. I wanted a phone that was more open and more secure then Android and iOS and worked together with Ubuntu Desktop like Apple is doing. If I knew how to do it I would put Android on my E5."

Canonical say we won’t see new Ubuntu phone models released until a Snap-based version of Ubuntu to use on them is ready, and that transition, though in progress, will take time.

E ingropat oficial
"Unity 8 and the Ubuntu Convergence vision are no longer the future of computing that Canonical and Ubuntu founder once thought it was. "I was wrong on both counts," reveals Mark Shuttleworth. "In the community, our efforts were seen fragmentation not innovation. And industry has not rallied to the possibility, instead taking a ‘better the devil you know’ approach to those form factors, or investing in home-grown platforms" http://news.softpedi...campaign=buffer
