If you can get your EDGE into Mass storage mode and get to the file system than you do not need to do this!

This only works on a windows PC!

-First you wil need this RGN tool, to convert the firmware of your Edge (the GCD file) to an RGN file. http://turboccc.wiki...es.com/RGN_Tool
-Once you have your RGN file need to extract the "update" Executable from the following link: http://www.gps-exper....aremissing.zip
-Connect the EDGE to a USB port and check in the device manager that it is connected without exclamation marks, if it is: delete the driver and try again. Maybe it wil install drivers automatically depending on what windows version you are using.
-Drag and Drop the RGN file on the "update.exe" using windows explorer.
-Select "USB" as connection (if not possible than check device manager again.)
-Wait until the update is completed.
If this does not work than there is probably a hardware issue.
In my case all files were still there so the first time I started it, it again started updating to 3.6 and the next time I started it it started downgrading to 3.4 (this was because I had backed up the 3.4 firmware to the Sd card.
