To fix the issue, disable password expiration for the user that you are facing this issue with.

You have to login as an administrator to follow the methods mentioned.

Method 1: Disable password expiration through Local Users and Groups Manager
NOTE: This option is only available for the Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions.

a. Click Start, and type lusrmgr.msc in the search line and press Enter to open Local Users and Groups.
b. If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), click on Yes.
c. In the left pane, click on Users, then double click on the name of the user account that you want to enable or disable password expiration for.
d. In the UserName Properties box, under the General tab, check the password never expires box, then click on OK.
NOTE: If password never expires is grayed out, then this means that this user account has reached it's set maximum password age.
e. Click Apply. Click OK.

Method 2: Disable password expiration through elevated Command Prompt.
NOTE: This option is available for all Windows 7 editions.

a. Click the Start button. In the search box, type command prompt.
b. In the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
c. In the elevated command prompt, type the command given below and press Enter:
wmic path Win32_UserAccount where Name='username' set PasswordExpires=false
NOTE: Substitute username in the command with the actual user account name that you want to disable password expiration for.
d. Close the command prompt.
