Transalpina, cea mai inalta si misterioasa sosea din tara, DN 67C "Drumul regelui" Opţiuni

Botezata DN 67C, acesta sosea face legatura intre Novaci si Sebes. Este un traseu foarte putin cunoscut care pe alocuri urca
la peste 2000 m(Pasul Urdele 2145 m) insa extrem de frumos si salbatic.Daca Transfagarasanul este dupa parerea mea de noat 9, transalpina merita cu siguranta un big 10 pt peisaje, aventura si mister.
Soseaua a fost construita si pietruita de nemti in timpul primului mondial din ratiuni miltare, insa a fost foarte putin folosita. De atunci soseaua a fost foarte putin intretinuta iar pavajul si podurile s-a degradat. Azi, soseaua mai este
"asfaltatata" in proportie de 25%. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Desi soseaua poate fi strabatuta cu Dacia, eu va recomand
un Aro sau Jeep caci, caii putere ai Daciei va vor da de furca, mai les pe serpentinele din jurul pasului Urdele.
Accesul pe sosea se poate face fie din Novaci sau Sebes fie
prin Valea Oltului-Brezoi-Voineasa-Vidra-Obirsiile Lotrului( traseu f pitoresc). O alta alternativa ar fi prin Petrosani-Obirsiile Lotrului.
Daca cautati un loc nou si salbatic care sa va aventurati cu masina, Transalpina va va fascina. Locuri de cazare gasiti in apropiere la Vidra(3 hoteluri) sau cabana de la Obirsiile Lotrului, iar tarifele sint foarte convenabile 100-400 mii/noapte.

e la 10 km de bunicii mei ( Horezu , Slatioara, Stroiesti, Polovraci) si nu am urcat pe acolo.

In zona Novaci, Polovraci e asfaltata soseaua nu ? Daca ai ocazia sa mergi cu masina pe acolo, du-te fiindca e foarte frumos.

Sfat. Pe munte, luati o punga, puneti-va cutiile goale de conserve si alte resturi si carati-o cu voi pana la prima cabana.

Are cineva vreo harta cu Transalpina? Tot am incercat sa fac rost de ea, insa nu am gasit nici o harta mai in detaliu a soselei.

am si eu o intrebare
imi planificasem sa merg la anul undeva la munte cu masina si cum transfagarasanul l-am parcurs de 2 ori ,am fost si pe zona v. oltului-lac vidra ,
cheile bicazului ,gheorghieni-praid(daca stiti cum este zona ,frumoasa dar ...foarte distrusa soseaua) am reusit sa ajung chiar si aproape de sarmisegetuza regia(la 2km) cu masina (un tico ,surprinzator,nu?) am citit ce atzi spus si este destul de interesant, ma intereseaza cat de practicabila este , si daca poate fi parcursa, incet de un tico sau mai bine nu.
si daca exista vre-o sosea cu care o pot compara (drum de tara,forestier)

:cool: Bunica mea este din Sebes.Am un prieten care are un var care lucreaza la primaria din SEBES. o sa sun acum sa vad daca gaseste vreo harta prin primarie.

Se poate face cu o Dacia?? Cat de greu este sa urci pe acolo pe unde spunea Masterboy?
La vara vroiam sa merg pe Transfagarasan, insa acum am o alta optiune. O Dacia incarcata cu max. 3 oameni ma duce la partea cealalta a Transalpinei??

Jack-The-Knife, urci si cu Dacia, dar asta numai vara. Eu iti recomand totusi ceva 4x4 pt Transalpina. Pe Transfagarasan, Dacia urca, mai greu, dar urca
si cu 3 persoane. De Tico cu motorul minune de 800 cmc3 si 4 persoane inauntru mi-e tare frica ca o ia la vale incercind sa urce... pe serpentine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

After visiting the pestera Polovragi which was inchis we took the road to Baia de Fier and further to Novaci. This road is very very bad. I guess half is covered with asfalt and the other half are holes. When passing Novaci we saw a sign that the road to Ranca (up the mountains) was under construction and that it was not possible to cross over there. Anyway I am stubborn and so we went to Ranca (and wanted to go all the way to Sebes cause it seemed that there was a good connection drawn on the map). The road up to Ranca is pretty steeb with nice differences in landscape. When we came to orasul Ranca the asfalt suddenly stopped and changed into stones and sand. A lot of construction was going on there (octombrie 2003). We asked a guy there who was building a hostel how long the road continues this way. He told us about 36 kilometers. So with the VW golf we didn't take the risk to wreck the car and it was also getting dark. But the guy told us that the road to Sebes has great views and very worth experiencing. So my plan is to buy a jeep of some kind in the future. Of course we took some pictures there while the sun was going down. I have added one. But for sure i will be back there and i will never forget the name Ranca.

And now comes the big question: tell me which part of Romania you liked most so far and why?

Well Masterboy and all other readers. We have been to Romania for three weeks and stayed over at my girlfriend's mother's house in Doamna Ghica in Bucuresti. In total we have been traveling through Romania for eight days. The others we wandered around Bucuresti and visited for example the new Carrefour.

I will write down where we have been (mostly) driving those over 4000 km in the country.

Day one: Bucuresti, Sinaia, Predeal, Brasov (sleep)
Day two: Brasov, Poiana Brasov, Rasnov, Bran, Dambovicioara ... Campulung, Pitesti, Bucuresti
Day three: Bucuresti, Rumnica valcea, Horezu, Polovragi, Baia de Fier, Ranca, Targu Jiu (sleep).
Day four: Targu Jiu, Petrosani, Deva, Brad, Abrud, Campeni, Turda, Cluj Napoca (sleep)
Day five: Cluj Napoca, Aresd, Beius, Chiscau, Brad, Deva, Sebes (sleep)
Day six: Sebes, Sibiu, Medias, Sighisoara, Brasov, Buzau, Bucuresti
Day seven: Bucuresti, Targoviste, Campulung, Curtea de Arges, Transfagarasan, back to Curtea de Arges (sleep)
Day eight: Curtea de Arges, Rumnica Valcea, Calimanesti, Talmaciu, Fagaras, Brasov, Sarcele, Cheia, Ploiesti, Bucuresti

The first thing that i have to tell is that in Olanda there are only an amount of small mountains down south, further nothing. What i really liked were all those waters like Jiu, Dambovita, Oltet, etc. and besides which roads have been made. For example the road (the environment i mean) through the Jiu valley was excellent, but there were many more. The big lake between Brasov and Buzau with a hydrocentrale was amazingly gorgeous. Of course i loved pestera Ursilor, the route to Dambovicioara, the route along the river Dambovita between Targoviste and Campulung. What i hated the most were the holes in the roads, especially when entering Bucuresti from the highway from Pitesti. I have cursed a lot while driving and a lot of holes we avoided but not all and some were huge. I will add a picture now of the lake between Brasov and Buzau (what is the name of this lacul?). I am running out of time now but i will return.
